Sharing ‘The Lost Experience’
There are excellent fan sites out there devoted to ‘The Lost Experience,’ the ARG (Alternative Reality Gaming) universe, where clues are collected and analyzed in detail. Wikis are a great way for fans to collaboratively build online resources, such as The Lost Podcast Wiki (from our friends Jay and Jack) and the LostPedia. There are also sections at message boards like TheFuselage.com and Lost-Forum.com. And there are several blogs, official and unofficial.
Visitors to ‘The Transmission’ are a community unto themselves, of course, so we’ll post ‘open threads’ about ‘The Lost Experience’ on occasion to give you a playground in which to share your own discoveries, observations, and theories, separate from the show itself. Have at it!

Found that “Heir Apparent” code to… their is a hidden link right below the message text that redirects you back to the HANSO Foundation website Bios page… if you click Dr. Thomas Mittelwerk’s photo, you will get his Bio and there is a LOGIN field there but no SUBMIT button… not sure where to go next… but that login field WAS NOT there yesterday!

Here is what to do on the new web site:
some how by clicking on the outter ring, it said sublymonal message unlocked, the message says: Heir Apparent
After that, go back to the Hans website, go to the I think Board tab, then click on Dr. Thomas and there is a place to put in the password, Heir Apparent, there is no place to click next, just hit enter and it will start.

At the sublymonal website…. you click each individual tv set in relation to the numbers… 4, then 5, then 15…ect.. then it gives you the password, but i havent gotten to hanso.org to try it yet…

I got into the hanso site today and entered the Heir Apparent and now it wants a password. It tells me to call the call center number in the television ad section. I have gone to that section and have found no number to call. Is there a phone # that anyone else is aware of?

To use the Heir Apparant code, go to the bios of the executives, click on Dr. Thomas Mittlewerk and enter it in there. (There’s a log in box over his bio).
You should do this in Internet Exploerer though - I haven’t gotten it to work in Firefox.

I am not sure if anyone has noticed this but I don’t recall seeing anything about it. The VIK institute section on the Hanso site (under Mental Health Appeal) now has an “inquire today” button that opens up a text box. It does not seem to accept anything when I type it in (the server times out despite a short wait and a T3 connection).
Anyone know anything about this? Is it new?

Has anyone been able to ge the Heir Apparent code to work? I did the following:
- Clicked on the Dr. Thomas bio on the Hanso Foundation website
- There is a small enter box in the middle of his name
- Entered Heir Apparent
- hit enter…. then nothing?
There is another text box at the botton of the screen with a login button, anyone know that password? Using the passcode breakingstrain does not seem to do anything either. I am using I.E 6+

Andy, after the code is unlocked is a link. it takes you to the alvar hanso bio page on the hanso foundation, then you click under the picture, it says “notice the grainy far away picture” continue clicking “it doesnt match anyone else” click again and it shows a globe, to one side it tracks Alvar hanso’s last known public sightings, and to another persephone ( the mysterious contact from the last webmaze) comments that he hasnt been seen since 02, then a crazy flashy screen apperis and in big test it says “who is running this place” and “Alvar Hanso was never there” and a womans voice says “where is alvar hanso, is he hiding” “whos running this place anyway?”, repeating and getting louder, and then it breaks into moris code … .- ..-. . –. which translates to : “s a f e g” this is my first experiance trying to decifer moris code im positive the first 4 are right but the “g” doesnt fit, possibly it continues with further episode codes. after i deciferd it i clicked the green dot (that is flashing along with the beeps) and returned to the bio page.
what does this mean, is safeg another password? if alvar hanso was never there, where is there? and where is he? possibly on the island… ill continue my search.

Heir Apparent password can be entered back at the main thehansofoundation.org website. Under executive bios, Dr. Thomas Mittlewerk, there will be a little entry screen that you can enter the name in.

when u go to the website http://www.sublymonal.com (from the tv commercial) there are tvs in a circle. u have to hit the tvs in this order:
1st tv: click 4 times
2nd tv: click 8 times
3rd tv: click 15 times
4th tv: click 16 times
5th tv: click 23 times
6th tv: click 42 times
when u do this the tvs will turn yellow and a new page will load. another tv pops up. this tv will blink “code:” and then “Heir Aparent”. at the bottom of the screen it will say “sublymonal message unlocked”. under this ther is an invisible link to http://thehansofoundation.org/index.html#section=bios.
i dont know what the code is for though.

There are 2 login boxes. One in the middle of the screen and one at the bottom. The bottom one reacts but simply says unknown user

okay, I think I just went as far as you can go with this. After you enter the screenname Heir Apparent in the newsletter sign up box, the screen goes all weird and then asks you to enter the password, which indeed is breaking strain, the screen goes all weir again and then like on the show, the monitor starts typing out PERSEPHONE: HELLO, and several other uninformative messages. If you then go back and enter the screenname Persephone, you get a typed in “NO NEW MESSAGES” that’s as far as I’ve gotten

Dennis is correct… after doing all that he suggested I went to the “Joop’s corner” section of the Hanso website and typed in The numbers “4 8 15 16 23 42″ in the “Send Joop a personal message” and pressed send–a bunch of documents pop up and you can click on certain parts of the documents… of course it all happens quickly so after you’ve figured out what the heck they all say and mean let me know!!

one letter is regarding an out break of some disease seemingly sourced from the Hanso Foundation. The other is appologizing for the heated tone of the letter and explains Hanso’s winngness to cooperate. If you click on the persons name below their signature on the letter, circled in red, it is that same woman’s voice and says “the hanso foundation, setting records for undermining authority” or something

Has anyone else played around in the Oceanic web site? If you click on the “Find: button in the Travellers section, you will jump to a passenger seating plan. Click on the flashing “F” abovee the plane and seat 42F will highlight. Click on 42F and you will be led through several clues about the passengers. For example, seat 9F is Shannon’s seat. When I clicked it I got the French Woman’s map. Unfortubately, there was no way to copy/print. I also clicked on the “Pre-Board Check-in” button in the lower right hand side. You will see Ethan Mor’s name. Drag the letters into the boxes below, but rearrange to read “OTHER MAN”. You dont learn anything new, but it’s still kind of cool the way they’re playing with us.

After you go through the login phase with the newsletter and check out the Dr.’s bio, go back to Joop’s page. Go to send a message to Joop and enter Heir Apparent. You will then have to connect circles which look like synapes. Once you connect them all, you get a red circle. Click the red circle and you get 1document from GWC about the Hanso Foundation and a new disease they were hiding. Then, once you read that document, click the bottom and you get a second document apologizing for the first letter. Then a woman speaks.
That’s what I have found on this site…anymore news, I would love to know!

Check this out: On the Hanso page, at the Active Projects link for WWPDP, click on “World Maps”. The map shows three dots showing ongoing project locations. However, if you put your cursor over the Bermuda Triangle, you will see another location pop up. At that point bring your cursor under the larger gray box to the left of the map. Hold the your mouse button down and you will see a faint message. Looks like some sort of equation(s). There are two sets of numbers underlined (13,9,19,19,9,14,7 & 15,18,7,1,14,19). These numbers correspond to the alphabet and spell out Missing Organs! Any ideas?

Whith the Mittelwerk dialog boxes, you have to enter something in the box over the Bio AND AT THE SAME TIME a username. Tried safeg in the Bio box, with Heir Apparent in the username and nothing. Will keep trying!!!!

I’ve figured out who the silhouette that slowly appears over Joop’s image belongs to. It belongs to the unamed doctor at the top of the “Active Projects” >> “Mental Health Appeal” page of the Hanso website. His ear, shoulder and pitch of his head all match. Hugh et. al., just FYI. Meningococcal disease and meningitis are not one and the same. Meningococcal disease is any bacterial infection caused by Neiserria meningitides, but most notoriously causes meningitis. (People occasionally get meningococcemia or meningococcal pneumonias.) Meningitis is, as you mentioned, any infection or inflammation of the meninges in the central nervous system (brain & spinal cord).
Wonder if there’s any relationship between “the sickness” that made Danielle’s people go crazy and the new strain of meningococcus off the coast of Tanzania referenced in the letter… meningitis (and its close relative encephalitis) can cause changes in mental status, and meningococcal meningitis is certainly lethal if not treated with IV antibiotics.

“I thought you would like to know that we believe lostinthemachine at Lost-Forum has found the correct answer to the clue in ASCII that translated to “HAS WIN HOST PC IN NIL URGE. 8, not 1 and 6” His answer is that it is “WHO IS RUNNING THIS PLACE. 8, not 1 and 6” The “8, not 1 and 6” would have the same meaning that we interpreted before.”

Personally, the former seems to make more sense, especially with the “world map” (http://media.thelostexperience.com/lost-images/october_4.jpg). Note that 8 and “1 and 6″ (or 16?) are two of the numbers.

I WENT TO THE HANSO FOUNDATION WEBSITE, CLICKED ON THE NEWSLETTER, ENTERED THE PASSWORD IN THE “SO, LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER” BOX (PASSWORD- PERSEPHONE), IT TURNED INTO SOME WEIRD MUSIC AND THEN THE OFFICIAL HANSO FOUNDATION SITE CHANGES INTO A SECRET INTERUPTION THAT SAYS “Hello persephone, can you read this?” You have to wait until the text on the page gets more scribbled (as if someone is erasing the Hanso official typing and replacing it with their own scribbles. if it doesn’t work, keep trying- it WILL work). You type in “Yes” and then it says ok. It then says “ok, it’s me persephone. what’s the password?” and then you enter “heir apparent” (you can also enter password “breaking strain” and it gives you an entirely different message from someone called “persphone” and flashes a picture of Joop and then goes back to the normal Hanso webpage. turns out the picture is a hidden letter i believe- check with Goldsteve who posted the letter here- http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/nosilly/hansoletter.jpg) and it says “call the number in the tv commercial”. i then clicked on the left side of the hanso page on the “television ad” and it gave a short ad with no phone number (it turns out the phone number is 877-HANS-ORG). i called the phone number 6 times and each time i pressed “1″ where it then takes you to the voicemail box. this message comes on in German and then 2 out of the 6 times i called it had a woman’s voice leaving a hidden message to the effect of “don’t trust them” and “the secret is in the numbers” and then “password is breaking strain” then the phone hangs up. On another issue, if you go to the Oceanic Air website (oceanic-airlines.com) it has several hidden messages. first, click on the top of the screen where it says “edit” and go to “select all” then “copy”. copy and paste the oceanic air website into a Word document. you will see a hidden message from someone named sally that reads: “If anyone should find this message, please get word I’m alive and stranded on an island somewhere in the South Pacific. Please send help soon. Things are bad. And they’re getting worse…

There is also another hidden message from an unknown source that reads: “I survived a horrific plane crash and am stranded on an island somewhere Northeast of Australia and Southwest of Hawaii. In the event that I am never found, please forward word of my fate to my parents.”
Finally, each time you open the Oceanic Air website and copy and paste it into Word you get hidden pictures. One is a drawing of what appears to be a man in a hospital bed with a broken arm, bandages on his face as if he had major surgery, at least one injured leg (broken?) and a birthday cake in his lap with 7 or 8 candles on it (i would imagine this was Micheal celebrating Walt’s birthday, but it looks more like a white guy). Another image is of a letter mailed from Michael to Walt talking about how Michael misses Walt and he’s (michael) recovering well and is practicing his drawing. he sends walt a drawing of a boat with the letters NY on it (presumably a New York tourist ferry) and also includes a drawing of some sort of machine that looks very much like a roulette table, though most of the drawing is hidden under the envelop of the letter. At the top left corner of the drawing is “H14″ in small font. don’t know what that means but i’m sure it is symbolic is some strange way. The letter is addressed to Walter Lloyd (don’t know if lloyd is the middle name or last name) and he lived at 317 Charette St., Sydney NSW 200, Australia from as far as i can tell on the letter envelope.
Another hidden images is a picture of Claire’s boarding pass. It tells us her name is Clarie Littleton and she paid $870.50 for her ticket in US dollars. It also tells us the flight departed at 255pm and i think i can make out that she was in seat 97B. She also ordered her ticket by phone or mail.

one more thing- if you go to the Oceanic Air website and do the copy and paste thing, each time you do this (after refreshing the website) you’ll get new pictures when you paste the site into a Word document. I’ve gotten 3 different pictures so far (see last post). Anyone have any idea who “Sally” is from the hidden message in the Oceanic Air website? And how on Earth did she get access to email??!! Ha!
Sign up for the Oceanic Air newsletter called “Island Insider”. It says to “click here” every week to get inside tips, etc. but gives no link to click. just click in that general area and you’ll get a pop up box with a quiz qeustion about a recent episode.
Somehow you can click on the oceanic website and view the source codes (not quite sure if that’s what they’re called- i’m not a techie) and you’ll get a morse code message. i spent over 2 hours trying to decode it and i guess i’m just no good at deciphering morse code.

On the ABD blog, they recently posted a link to the newly “discovered” site http://www.djdan.am. This seems to be a site created by ABC (multiple clues to this one, including a store that you can’t purchase from and a “podcast” — there’s only one snippet — referring to Hanso (as a “proverbial Mr Cluck” and Persephone.
I havn’t found anything especially interesting or juicy there.

I’m not sure if this has been picked up on, but on the hansofoundation.org homepage there’s a news article dated 12/05/06 saying don’t believe “bad twin” - a scroll bar on the right takes you to the full press release in a new window… See the Address bar…? Take out “/newspaper.gif” to get an “Index” of stuff. legalmiller_final.pdf is a letter from an angry Hugh McIntyre. Parent Directory is 2 folders, one from Paris, one from London, but London’s empty. I can’t get access to the index’s parent directory - just get a message:

well i have seen almost every trick in the hanso foundation website, you can use “heir apparent” in 3 places 1- Newsletter (Sign Up) where u password is “breaking strain” 2- Joob’s Corner try to send Joob a letter which is “heir apparent” 3- Executive Bios go to Dr. Thomas Mittelwerk’s profile and put “heir apparent” in the little entry screen in the middle. And finally if you go to Alvar Hanso’s profile, u will see that the date under his picture is underlined press it and enjoy. But one thing i didn’t discover yet is when u go to “Board of Directors” there are a login entry and a password entry but no entry is working TRY IT!!! After all this i don’t understand what is the point of all this? is it just a game? or it really give u some clues about LOST?

Letty — the equations on the board are not addition, they’re multiplication. The “times tables” for nine are the first three lines. Then “? x 5 = 25″ and “? x 5 x 8 = 12?.” I don’t see “the numbers” at all except for 18.

You need to find the link to the compass.
Go to the Electromagnetics page.
See the Strange date under the photo? “October 26, 9291″
See the X and Y coordinates and how they change as you move your mouse pointer?
Set them to 269 and 291 by slowly moving your mouse to just the right pixel.
This is a link to a new web page.
When you get to the compass you need to find another small hot spot.
Then you can find the tiny code (DI9FF—– I’ll let you find the rest of the code).
Then click to enter a server directory page and go through all the folders and links.
Read about the Jeeps… see the movie clip about the Jeep “CJ7 Hatch” (another code?) See another clip with some child’s blocks spelling out “DJDA—-” (fill in the rest yourself.. is this another clue?)
You should eventually find a large vintage Jeep advertisement with yet another clue written on it “The Mouth —–” (again, I’ll let you find out what it is yourselves).

OK, there must be something dead simple that I’m misunderstanding.
When I visited the Hanso site and looked at Alvar’s bio, I noticed something that was not there the last time I looked around a week ago: the photo of Alvar Hanso used in the first orientation film is identified as having been taken on October 28, 2003! Was that always there or am I going crazy?
The orientation film was dated 1980, and certainly didn’t have a modern feel to it.
So what does this mean, that the hatches are such a fraud that they’re not even old but actually new and made to look old?

Under Peter Thompsons picture in the Bio section, There is a hidden login field directly under the bottom left of the picture with the blinking letters. Type in : survivorguilt, then press enter one time. You will be able to view more hidden pictures.

Two things:
1) Peter Thompson bio has some cool photos - click through the links to see what he’s been involved with.
2) Click on the date under Alvar’s picture and let the movie play out. At the end, you’ll get a flashing dot that appears to repeat Morse Code (… .. …. . _ _ _ ). I tried to translate it and got “SIHEO,” but am not sure about my listening or my interpretation. Someone else try this and see what you get.

When you go into the Peter Thompson section, there’s three reports which send you to pictures. Those pictures have lots of things flashing under them. Has anyone made that out? I know the second one has four words. The first is clearly “don’t”, the second is about 5 letters long, the third is “this” or “his”, and the fourth is kinda short. I thought it might be “Don’t trust this man” or “dont watch this something” “Dont’ trust this man” might make more sense as it always fades to this guy, whose face is unclear. The face was almost clear in the first one, the nuclear power one.
Also–in every screen there’s a place you can click on the bottom left. Does this do anything besides move the green blobs around?

It says ” Don’t believe his lies”. All this information is actually old news at this point. All the up to date information can be found on ABC’s site. There you will find still shots of the pictures that flash by so quickly that you cannot read them. Just ask anyone on the forum to see the pictures, they will post a link for you to access the pictures. This hawaiiup site seems way far behind in the game.
