Please Stand By

“There’s a difference between doing nothing and waiting.” Unlike Daniel Faraday, we’ve got a pretty poor grasp of time, so our podcast will be a little late this weekend. While you wait, feel free to dive into the more than 1,200 comments that poured in on the series finale. And if you have any favorites, feel free to point them out! (The link to individual comments is embedded in the timestamp.) There are some great gems that are no doubt lost in the flood.

And don’t forget to connect with us and other listeners on the “Transmission” page on Facebook.

Can’t wait! But just like the season finale, I’m anxious and sad for this to be the final podcast about Lost!

  2. Eileen from New Jersey says:

It’s 9:15am on the East Coast. Do you have an ETA?

  3. Carol from Boston says:

No worries, just makes me have one more Lost event to look forward to this week.

  4. Frog Went a-Courtin says:

lol, no worries, you guys… you are always consistent with your podcasts, and that’s just one of the reasons I think you guys are the bees knees and the mutts nuts 🙂

    the freaking final scenes of the finale.. they’re etched into my brain and keep coming back to me… esp. after a second (and third) viewing… it was just so beautifully done… I had issues with Across the Sea, but all is forgiven.. big time. =}

    thanks for everything, you-all ….

  5. Stacie says:

We appreciate all your hard work and one thing we’ve learned as fans of Lost is patience.

  6. Carol from Boston says:

Hmmm, pick a favorite post? That’s like having to choose a favorite kid. I don’t know if I could do it. 🙂 But there are some great posts that explained the episode very well.

  7. itis1251 says:

short and sweet: during the finale I thought I had an epiphany that the losties were having to witness the original timeline, when the light that is in every man…was brightest. This I thought was Desmond’s role to get enough of them relit or to get enough that were relit in one place in order to sorta relight the island after smokey/mib/unlocke had done whatever he had to. Disappointed I was wrong. But I’m moving passed it with the assurance that the island was real, only the sideways was their “what dreams may come” moments.

  8. Ernie says:

This is like asking me to not have a cup of coffee in the morning.

In all seriousness, I am more than happy to wait and look forward to the next podcast. I hope all is well with you!

  9. Embie says:

I’m not surprised. If I were you I’d be exhausted trying to read/digest/listen to it all. Islandsidhe’s post at 9:35 am on 5/27 got of lot of people thinking about parallel worlds and multiversal explanations, so I hope you look at that one. I’m looking forward to your podcast, but like Carol and Ernie for me it just adds to the excitement.

    Breathe. Namaste. Peace.

You two are the best! Your TIME works for us! We’ll all just flash about in the meantime…

This is the internet, there is no time here *opens door and walks into a white light*

I’m very excited to hear what you thought about of all the posts for the finale, but I’ll be patient, and wait! There was such a lot of new posters, many expressing dissatisfaction at the finale, and that made me sad, because I really loved the whole thing, and rewatched the enhanced finale on ABC last night. Jimmy Kimmel’s Aloha to Lost cracks me up – I even watched that again.

  14. We’ll be here when you arrive. Thank you for your work!

  15. Lindsay says:

Mahalo Ryan and Jen for *all* your hard work with this amazing podcast!!

After a week of digesting the final episode (and re-watching bits of it online), I am incredibly satisfied with how it ended…it was beautiful. I’m in mourning now for the loss of the show, but other than that, all is well 😉

  16. KL in VA says:

Even though last week was “the end”, it’s really not over until the last “Transmission” is received. I look forward to listening to it whenever it arrives! Thanks Ryan and Jen.

  17. greenberry says:

Excellent choices, Fernando! Special kudos to Coolpeace, May 25th at 10:01 a.m. ~ that post really helped clarify my thinking.

@ Coolpeace ~ I got a lot out of the article you posted on the other thread which referred to the “Flash Upwards”

  18. Coolpeace says:

@ greenberry : I enjoyed reading his thoughts.

For others who do not wish to search the over 1,200 posts, here is what I posted on the other thread:

If you need a Lost fix until the podcast, I recommend the follow post by a regular contributor to the DocArtz blog. Really well thought out and written:
