Donald Clark: Making a Living in Crafts

Friday, September 29. The Hawai’i Craftsmen Annual Juried Exhibition is known as the premier showcase for fine crafts from across the state. The deadline for entries begins Sunday on Kaua’i, as juror Donald Clark makes his way across the Island chain, judging works and offering lectures on his specialty, the business end of art. HPR’s Noe Tanigawa reports. | Artists are invited to submit works for the Hawai’i Craftsmen 39th Annual Statewide Juried Exhibition, on view October 14-29 at the Linekona Art Center, Honolulu. Beginning Sunday, Donald Clark will jury submissions and offer workshops on “Making a Living in Crafts” on four Islands, adding a slide lecture on fine crafts, at the Honolulu Academy of Arts Monday, October 9th.
