It’s good to know youngsters like yourselves are listening to older music. I remember when “Mama”, “Shambala,” and “Summer in the City” were brand new songs during various stages of my life. All great tracks. “Shambala” was Three Dog Night’s biggest hit of 1973 and one of their last top 10’s of their career. “Summer in the City” was a huge #1 hit during the summer of 1966 for the Lovin’ Spoonful. Both were Top 40 AM favorites of their day.

Hey Ryan, it’s so nice that you’re back from your break from podcasting. Can I just give a specific thanks for the time-codes you do in your show-notes? I always skip right to the Pith of Pop and am glad to be able to read details of your subject matter first. Still, I am fascinated by your in-depth news of political and other goings-on in Hawaii. Your show rocks!

The Kimo Wantanabe link needs to be corrected to http://www.sellaband.com/kimo-watanabe/

Thanks for the tip on the music!

  4. Ryan says:

Thanks for the note on the link, Greg! I’m a “Believer” in Kimo!

    Hey Ryan,

We miss your show! It’s been almost 3 months now and nothing from Hawaai. What’s up with that!!! Please give us our fix!

    Mahalo,

    Doug

Hey Ryan, I am a local boy living in Maine! I always listen whenever you podcast, but I am saddened that you are (mostly) nowhere to be found these days. Is all ok? I would love to see you at least monthly, but I really miss the weekly shows. Ah, for the good old days of ’05!

I will be here, as we all will, when you come back. Just don’t take too long! Mahalo!!
