It felt good to share a little of your grandmother's life, and to be there at the funeral services, for a brief moment. There an evident well-spring of wisdom that has definitely passed down from generation to generation. The station itself (not just the portion airing on Spike!) is right now whoring for the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie by airing the original series. I flip through CMT during commercial breaks, and I'm amazed at how the middle-of-the-road suburban Republicans who eat this crap up are being bilked of an actual music tradition. Lonestar? Boy band.
