Aloha e Dave! Thanks for your note! Mahalo a nui loa so much for tuning in. I'll see what I can do about Hawaiian language... I could finally put my four years of college study to some use! And thanks for mentioning 'Lost' - my wife could probably do a whole show herself on that topic.

I don't know if I can give you Huki Lau, but there'll definitely be music. Stay tuned, and let me know if there's anything else you're missing!

Hi, this is Dave in Philadelphia. I just read about podcasting in BusinessWeek, googled my way to your show, and burned it to my trusty MiniDisc player. I'm interested in Hawaii for all the standard reasons that probably annoy locals and natives: palm trees, pineapple, juice, the show 'Lost' and songs like Huki Lau. I enjoyed your first show. You sound a bit nasal, but I guess that's unavoidable -- I remember how nasal my English lessons for Chinese students turned out on said MD player. Anyway, I was hoping you could inject some Hawaiian vocabulary into future podcasts, if you're interested. Especially words with interesting etymologies, or perhaps funny compound words. Cheers.
